To be honest, this blog is one of my blog with more plugins than other blogs I have. I use plugins that I never use before here, because I don’t want to be dependent on the plugins that I use usually.
I use YOAST SEO plugin mostly, but I take my shot to use SEO Ultimate instead over here at TheBlogCourse. Previously I will be just using WordPress Stats as the module of JetPack, but I try to use WP SlimStat along with Google Analyticator.
So far, this blog perform well on SERP, the post that I made can make it to the first page of Google. I can edit any page meta description to optimize this blog faster than using Yoast and the statistic displayed by WP SlimStat also simple and easy to learn, and even adding more information like my keyword position.
This starts with Experiment
I never think about this for the long run at first, I just want to try something new, I think that I will be just come back to my old-favorite plugins, but I don’t change it until today.
I don’t really having a problem to do things differently here, I feel to have more control and learn more things instead. I can get the same result by using different tools, that’s make me feel smarter.
It is not just repeat things
Finding a replacement plugins to do things I usually using can be time consuming and frustrating, that can be bad for me. But it sometimes gives me more excitement to explore a new tool and see what they can do to improve my blogging.
That way, I can try methods that I never do before instead of only repeating things over and over again.
This is also one of the reason I created posts about WordPress Plugins, to explore things outside the boundaries. To stand free and independent, because how good the plugins we are using right now, the decision to keep up the development of a plugins (software in general) is solely on the developers hand’s, not you, will never you.
